In 2018, cryptocurrencies experienced an intense and prolonged bear marker. Some of the most important virtual currencies lost between 65% and 95% of their price value. However, there are some cryptos that have registered gains in the last year.

Bitcoin

The the most important cryptocurrency, Bitcoin was able to remain in the green zone in the last 365 days. Its price is still 40% higher than what it was just a year ago. Most experts believe that this year is not going to be the best for BTC. Nonetheless, in the long term, analysts remain bullish. One year ago, Bitcoin was traded around $3600 dollars.

Walton

Walton (WTC) is the native currency of the WaltonChain network. Compared to the last year, the virtual currency is operating 200% up. This is a clear example that shows that not every single project has a bad end. However, this is quite surprising considering that altcoins have lost over 40% of the market during this year.

Dogecoin

This may not be the most revolutionary cryptocurrency in the market. But it doesn’t mean that there is no interest from investors. Dogecoin grew 210% in the last 365 days, a very positive number. In the last days, it has experienced an interesting bullish action amid a bear market.

Bytom

Bytom is working in order to have a stable place in the top 30 ranking by market capitalization. The cryptocurrency has registered gains of around 220% in the last year. In order to know where this project is headed, it is key to see how it will develop in the future.

EOS

EOS entered the market after a year-long initial coin offering (ICO) and was able to create itself a place in the top 5 ranking by market cap. At the moment, there are several developments taking place in the network, but in the last year, this currency is up 430%.

Stellar Lumens

This cryptocurrency entered a top 10 market position and stole the 6th spot from the then more famous Litecoin (LTC). It gained a lot of momentum at the beginning of the year. Compared to one year ago, this cryptocurrency has grown 920%. The next challenge for Stellar will be to prove that it is able to sustain for a longer period of time these incredible growth rates.
