Billionaire Elon Musk was amused when a porn star revealed that the Tesla on Autopilot mode can be used to enjoy “hands-free” car sex.
Elon Musk: ‘I shoulda seen it coming’
The Tesla CEO wryly tweeted that he “shoulda seen it coming.” The revelation has likely opened up a whole new market for his Tesla electric vehicles.
“Turns out there’s more ways to use Autopilot than we imagined,” Musk tweeted.
Adult film star filmed porno using Tesla Autopilot
Musk was reacting to porn star Taylor Jackson, who bragged on her NSFW Twitter page: “Holy s—, I made Tesla the #1 search on Pornhub!”
Jackson tagged Musk on her tweet, which is how he found out about the innovative new use for the Tesla Autopilot system.
Jackson also uploaded a video of her X-rated car-sex session onto Pornhub, where it promptly scored almost 6 million views.
Tesla owners say autopilot saved their lives
All jokes aside, Elon Musk has been touting Tesla’s Autopilot feature for months.
Earlier this week, the owner of a Tesla Model 3 said the autopilot system saved his life when it performed an evasive maneuver to prevent him from crashing into the car in front of him after a Jeep had rammed him from behind.
The Model 3 owner gushed that Tesla’s autopilot system took over and prevented a potentially catastrophic accident:
“This morning I was rear-ended coming to a stop by a lady driving about 40 to 50 mph. I think it was the Tesla that avoided the front collision. Saved me from bigger damage.”
This is not the first time that Tesla owners have credited the electric vehicle’s autopilot system for saving their lives. In August 2018, another man made a similar claim on YouTube:
Musk tries to steady the ship after battling SEC
Elon Musk has been making a huge effort to stabilize Tesla after a rocky few months, which were marred by his nasty feud with the Securities and Exchange Commission over his tweeting.
That matter was finally resolved on April 26. Under an amended agreement filed in Manhattan federal court (see below), the SEC and Musk agreed that he won’t post anything on Twitter that could affect Tesla’s stock price.
These are the topics that Musk cannot tweet about without getting prior approval from Tesla attorneys:
- Tesla’s financial condition.
- Potential mergers or acquisitions.
- Production and sales numbers.
- New product lines.
- Unpublished financial projections.
- Musk’s purchase or sale of Tesla securities.
Warren Buffett scolds Elon Musk
So far, Musk has been more careful with his tweeting. However, that hasn’t shielded him from criticism.
Last weekend, billionaire Warren Buffett — the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway — chided Musk, saying Elon is a “remarkable guy” but his casual tweeting is problematic.
“I think he has room for improvement, and he would say the same thing. I just don’t see the necessity to communicate [on Twitter].”
Buffett also dissed Musk’s plans to launch a Tesla insurance product, saying the insurance industry is too competitive for a novice to break into.
Of course, it makes sense that Buffett would talk down a potential competitor since Berkshire has one-third of its business in insurance.
But Musk got the final word. He goodnaturedly clapped back at Buffett — on Twitter, of course.
