By CCN: Spoiler alert for Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5.
Dany Targaryen is officially more vicious than Cersei Lannister ever dreamed of being. Then again, Cersei never had the opportunity to ride a dragon through a surrendering city and murder as many people as possible. Once Dany’s troops broke through, Cersei’s threw down their arms. There were a few moments where it looked like the Lannister Army would fold in with Dany’s freed slaves and northerners.
WHAT. THE FUCK. @GameOfThrones what THE fuck https://t.co/pp85jqd3tp

Tensions End With One Spear
All hopes of such a glorious, peaceful resolution were dashed. The most prominent of the Unsullied, Grey Worm, threw his spear at an unarmed Lannister officer, and all hell broke loose. From there, Dany and her last remaining dragon systematically killed everything and everyone they could. Untold numbers of loyal troops and innocent civilians died in the melee.
Arya Stark, who single-handedly ended the Battle of Winterfell and briefly became the top trending topic on Twitter, was on a mission of her own during all this ruckus. Her and her one-time captor, the Hound, separately want to murder Cersei Lannister and her final boss bodyguard. Arya believes she can end the battle of Kingslanding the same way she did that of Winterfell, by killing one central character.
They arrive a bit too late, though. The Hound manages to talk Arya out of pursuing her lifelong ambition to end Cersei Lannister by convincing her it would be her last kill.
Logically, both Arya and her sister Sansa have a huge distrust of incoming queen Dany. Especially now that they know Jon Snow, who grew up as their brother, is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
All the years Of character development…for that? 👎🏽 poor Dany

The Mad Queen Has Arrived
The Hound goes up to kill his nemesis, a man who looks like he was born in the pits of hell, and Arya runs off, hoping to survive her escape. She only narrowly does this when she finds a horse waiting, and only after she watches a woman and her child get burned alive.

Dany would say the civilians were there merely as a buffer. She mentions to Tyrion Lannister that her enemies try to use her goodness against her. That’s that nonsense that will get you whacked if the girl-turned-Faceless-Man (Arya Stark) has anything to do with it.
/Game of ThronesUnfortunately, she’s only got one more episode to do so.

Will Jon Snow Let The Mad Queen Rule?
Jon Snow, who is rightfully named Aegon Targaryen and technically his lover Dany’s nephew, repeatedly ordered his men to stop the bloodshed. He even killed one of Dany’s men for attempting to rape a Kingslanding commoner. This bit of foreshadowing could mean that Westeros is in for even more chaos.
The incestuous Jaime and Cersei Lannister don’t get the justice of being killed by any of the dozens of people they’ve crossed over the years. Instead, they die in a structural collapse caused by the Mad Queen and her last dragon.
The Internet is righteously pissed off at Dany and Game of Thrones generally.

At this point, people have years of their lives invested and expected more finality from the last season. Instead, we’re getting some easy answers and lackluster conclusions.
Dany the bells rang! They surrendered!
OH MY GODS SHE HAS HER AIRPODS IN! SHE CAN’T HEAR US! #gameofthrones pic.twitter.com/zUS2c6r8md— ohgustie (@ohgustie) May 13, 2019
We desperately wanted Arya to kill Cersei. Failing that, the cold-hearted crone should at least have died by fire.
One of the worst episodes of the entire series

All Daenerys Targaryen ever wanted was a family and to be happy. The tragedy that her character arc turned into is by far one of the most devastating things I’ve ever had to witness. pic.twitter.com/KSbHxIdAIB
