The California-based Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange has launched new Crypto-enabled VISA card with support of multiple cryptocurrencies including XRP. Consequently, UK residents with Coinbase’s VISA can use XRP to make purchases and cash withdrawals directly from their Coinbase account.

Coinbase VISA Card Supports XRP

Coinbase enables XRP, the third largest cryptocurrency with other leading cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Stellar Lumens (XLM), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and EOS. The announcement first revealed via Coinbase’s blog on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

Anyone with XRP and other supported crypto balance in their Coinbase account can instantly pay for their meals and other services directly through Coibase’s VISA debit card. Reportedly, this is the first Coinbase’s crypto-enabled debit card for UK and EU residents – however, presently, it is available only in the UK. Furthermore, as soon as customer users Coinbase’s debit card, the exchange instantly covert respective crypto to fiat currency and completes the purchase in no time. Consequently, it helps merchants or store owners to receive their fiat while customers pay via their crypto balance. It looks pretty cool – as you pay through the bank.

Uquid Adopts XRP Payments 

Beside Coinbase’s new VISA card, XRP can now be used to recharge mobile phones, pay electricity bills, insurance, pharmacy requirements and more via crypto platform Uquid. The startup called ‘Uquid’ announced to support XRP for various solutions as a form of payment. XRP holders can have streamlined payment system without having to convert their coins into fiat currencies or other tokens – they can simply use their XRP balance and pay for groceries, top up their phone numbers and more.

XRP adoption is constantly increasing across various platforms – additionally, XRP community is urging major telecommunication platform, Skype to integrate XRP micro payment.
